(from Bo Zolland of VizualTech) What is the future of hot rodding in the decades ahead?
The Delithium design is a pure futuristic Hot-Rod from any angle. The Delithium have formula car proportions for superb handling with driver and passenger midway along the wheelbase. The body sides feature a concave scallop for a visual look and also includes functional air ducts. The semi functional exhausts are for that raw old-school look. At the rear, the design elements is 30-s runabout inspired, but with a distinct diffusor.
The name is a mix of the idea of delirium and lithium.
The simple interior of the Delithium is a combination of function and styling refinement.
The cockpit layout has complete control with paddle gear shift at the driver’s fingertips. Premium leather covered seats. A digital display delivers information regarding the electric-drive system.
The Delithium delivers the convenience features of a performance sports car or Hot-Rod, including sound system, air conditioning and traction control.
Main power is electric Lithium power drive train, the Delithium shows impressive performance figures:
The energy comes from lithium ion batteries or a gas-electric hybrid engine for drag/track and long-distance driving.
The electric motor produces 290kW, capable of a top speed of 280 km/h.
Torque: 373 lb.-ft. (470 Nm) of torque, for a super quick launches.
From 0-60 MPH takes just 3.8 seconds. The impressive performance is made with the help of the seven-speed paddle selector gearbox.
Custom-made lightweight 18" and 20" forged wheels are standard
Tires in size 215/40-18 in front and size 275/40-20 in back provide extreme grip.
The technology enables 50 miles of emissions free driving.
But until then, the car can be fitted with a loud noisy gas guzzling V-8 (nicer…)
Lets see what the future brings…
